An ASIS survey has found that there has been an increase in the demand for security services. This is not unexpected, in harsh economic times people (and businesses) are concerned with hanging on to what they have, and have worries about increases in crime and social disorder. But don’t bet on this as long term good news; there is usually a six month lag before that security spending becomes another victim of the recession. Our advice is to use the short term boom to invest in preparing your business for harder times to come – modernise your approach, upskill staff – basically have a survival plan!
